John David Ashcroft is an American lawyer, lobbyist and former politician who served as the 79th U.S. Attorney General in the George W. Bush administration from 2001 to 2005. A former U.S. Senator from Missouri and the 50th Governor of Missouri, he later founded the Ashcroft Group, a Washington D.C. lobbying firm.
Ashcroft studied law at Yale and began his career in public service as Missouri Auditor in 1973. He was also appointed Assistant Attorney General in 1975 and elected State Attorney General in 19763. Ashcroft has held various leadership positions, including Chair of the Education Commission of the States, the Republican Governors Association, and the National Governors Association
John S. Pistole is the former administrator of the United States Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and a former deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He is currently the president of Anderson University.
Pistole is a graduate of Anderson University and the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, a division of Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis.
